The 5th-grade class enjoyed a beautiful day on their field trip to Avery Island on Friday! From exploring and learning to making memories together, it was a wonderful day filled with fun, adventure, and hands-on experiences outside the classroom.

This week at HCS!

We are proud to share that 8th-grade student Lily Falgout received an Honorable Mention in the National WWII Museum Essay Contest and won a $100 award. Lily competed against more than 300 students from across the country, making this a tremendous accomplishment. Her argumentative essay, Degenerate Art, focused on Hitler’s war on modern art and the importance of freedom of expression in the arts. This writing opportunity was completed in conjunction with our STEM field trip to the National WWII Museum and served as a cross-curricular project between Physical Science and English. We are so proud of Lily’s hard work and the way she represented our school through this outstanding achievement.

Biology is life!! 🐣
Mrs. Aimee’s Biology class had an exciting hands-on experience incubating chicken eggs and watching them hatch—from egg to life! What an amazing way to see God’s creation come to life right before their eyes.

On Saturday, March 14, Houma Christian School proudly participated in the South Central District Literary Rally. We are excited to share that several of our students qualified for the State Rally, which will be held at LSU in April. We are so proud of their hard work and accomplishments!

Our 9th grade students were such a blessing yesterday in Bible class as they packed 393 bags of food for Bags of Hope. These bags will be distributed to children across Terrebonne Parish who are facing food insecurity. Our students truly displayed the love of Jesus and were joyful to make a difference. Go Warriors!
