Last week, 1st grade celebrated Read Across America Week by transforming our classroom into a fun reading camp!
Students enjoyed flashlight reading under the stars—complete with glowing fireflies and the sounds of chirping insects. We took trips to the “mess hall” for snacks and visited the “activities hall” for indoor recess exercises. In science, students decorated their camp sites with beautiful flower gardens, and we finished the day with trail mix by the campfire. 🔦🌼🔥

Today in Mrs. Delgado’s Biology I Honors class, they brought DNA to life in the lab.Students explored the structure of the double helix and built models to better understand how nucleotide base pairs Adenine with Thymine and Cytosine with Guanine come together in precise order. Seeing the ATCG pattern form right before their eyes helped them connect textbook concepts to hands on learning.

We are so excited to announce our STATE WRESTLING CHAMPION! 🏆
Jaxon has made history as the first wrestler in Terrebonne Parish to be crowned a State Champion! This incredible accomplishment is a testament to his hard work, discipline, and determination throughout the entire season.
In addition to being named the 150 lb Division 3 State Champion, he was also awarded the prestigious D3 Outstanding Wrestler Award, an honor that speaks volumes about his dominance and dedication on the mat.
A special thank you to Coty Knoblock, Houma Christian's head wrestling coach, and the Terrebonne Wrestling team for treating Jaxon as one of their own and allowing him to train with them. Your support and investment played a huge role in this achievement.
