Mrs. Delgado recently attended the Southern University and A&M College STEM Conference, “Culturally Relevant Practices in STEM Classrooms,” sponsored by Shell Global.
9th grade Physical Science students constructed the first part of their egg drop project by testing a prototype last week!
8th graders in Mrs. Delgado’s earth science class looked at their algae cultures under the microscope.

Elementary Grandparents Day is next week! Monday, March 27th for PK-1st grade from 10:20 am-11am, Tuesday, March 28th for 2nd-4th grade from 10:20 am-11am, Wednesday, March 29th for 5th-6th grade from 12:10 pm-12:50 pm. Picture packages will be available for only $10 - you will get (2) 5x7's & (4) wallets. Our Elementary Easter Program will be on Thursday, April 6, at 9 AM at Living Word Church. Parents need to bring their child straight to LWC and will not attend HCS that day. After the program students are dismissed to leave with parents. Students in 6th grade should arrive at 8:15 AM, and students in Prek-5th grades should arrive by 8:30 AM. Parent doors to sanctuary will open at 8:30 AM. Students can wear jeans with tennis shoes and pastel colored shirts without words or pictures. Blessings

We have lots of opportunities for our elementary girls to join or try out for the following spirit teams: Pep Squad, Warriors of Worship Dance Team, Mid-Cheer Squad & Color Guard. Each group has specifics that you will need to review regarding: requirements, dates, fees, commitments, etc. Contact the sponsor in charge with any questions. Help us spread the word by sharing.
