This week at HCS…

This week in athletics...

Last night we honored our Seniors in cheer, Cross Country, and Football. We LOVE our SENIORS!

The school bus will not be running on Thursday the 13th or Friday the 14th of October. This is in regards to both the morning and afternoon bus. Bus riders will need to make their own arrangements for transportation on those days.

Brooke is a great addition to Houma Christian. Her positive, easy going attitude is a great fit for elementary PE. We are so excited that she is a part of our Warrior family!

Our elementary students were getting hyped up earlier this week in preparation for the home game tonight! Their construction themed pep rally was the highlight of the week!

Senior Night Presentations for our athletes will be at 6:30 on Warrior Field.
Oct. 7th - Football, Cheer, and Cross Country
Oct. 14th - Color Guard, Dance, Band and Swim

Insulation is a material used to limit the movement of thermal energy or heat. Students in Mrs. Delgado's 8th grade Earth Science class were challenged to build a model home out of cardboard that 1) meets the required building code rules outlined below and 2) uses insulation to slow or stop the movement of thermal energy (heat) into and out of the home. After the project was complete the students were able to describe efficiency and conservation measures for the home. Students were also able to justify and explain why efficiency and conservation measures make sense economically.
This project was funded by the Teacher's Warrior Run Grant.

Our monthly PTC is this evening, in the sanctuary at 6pm. We can't wait to see everyone!

Elementary students used a talking ball today during their group discussion about how our words can speak life!

Our Elementary PE with Brooke Adams and Library with Fina Theriot held a mini-Speak Life day as well!

This morning we started off the high school Speak Life event with a message from Paul Mason.

Tomorrow (Wednesday) is our ELEMENTARY PEP RALLY!! We can wait to see how our spirited our elementary students can be! Make sure to follow the guidelines and let’s start the construction! 🚧🦺 🚜👷♀️🛠🔩
