Congratulations to Oakleigh Aucoin, Anniston Parria, and Tanner Guidry, they are the winners of the Valentine's Day art contest held in the library for class 4B. Bree Chaisson, Averie Johnston, and Graham Waguespack are the winners of 5B.
Congratulations for being named as members of the All-Youth Terrebonne Parish Honor Band, Éloise Despot and Brennan Witt! They will be showcasing their talents tomorrow at 1 PM at HL Bourgeois.
Earlier this week, students in Mrs. Delgado’s Biology I Honors class (9B) extracted DNA from a banana in class.
Today, 9th-grade students Drew Pennison, Landon Cobb, and Luke Duplantis brought smiles to the faces of 4th-grade students by reading one of their favorite childhood stories. This heartwarming surprise not only entertained the younger students but also allowed the boys to take on a mentoring role, fostering a love for reading in the process.
Mrs. Delgado’s Earth Science class (8A) students used edible materials to simulate convergent, divergent, and transform plate boundaries!

The Elementary Dance Team is hosting a mini-camp for anyone interested in learning dance techniques and fun dances. We are hoping to excite girls about dance at our mini camp. Any girl from 2nd grade to 6th grade is welcome to come. The cost of the mini-camp is $15 per dancer, and it will be held on 2/15 from 10-12 in the sanctuary at HCS. Mrs. Delgado's 9A physical science class took a trip to the WWII Museum to explore how STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) played a crucial role during the war. Students learned about innovations like the Higgins Boats, which were pivotal in amphibious warfare, and other technological advancements that contributed to the success of the Allies. The trip allowed students to connect classroom learning with real-world applications of STEM during a critical period in history.
Mrs. Amber's third-grade class explored how water interacts with different natural materials, fostering curiosity and encouraging hands-on learning.
