
High School Game Day is just around the corner on Thursday, March 28th! Get ready for a jam-packed afternoon of Basketball, Pickleball, Volleyball, Kickball, Pedro with Mr. Ty, Card Games, and Board Games. And topping it off with free snowballs for all the students!


Pre-K unleashed their inner artists, creating masterpieces with chocolate pudding... it's a pig slop painting extravaganza!

PreK has been having outdoor fun while mastering letter blend sounds!



Thanks to PTC and Missions for treating our staff to a yummy breakfast yesterday served up by Jeaux on the Geaux. We love our staff! We also appreciate Jeaux on the Geaux coming out to our school yesterday to help PTC and Missions bless our staff.


5th and 6th grade Book Battles were in full swing today to find out which team will have the opportunity to go to the regional showdown! Big thank you to Megan Hutchinson and Olivia Mosely from the Terrebonne Parish Library for coming to host this event today. The following 1st and 2nd place groups will move on to the area competition on April 20, 2024:
1st place group: Page Turners - Emily Smith - Captain, Melanie Gaiennie, Londyn DeSilvey, Emilyn Guidry, and Charlotte Hebert.
2nd place group: Book Busters - Paris Simmons - Captain, Jacob Gold, Luke Dugas, Jack Hargenrader, and Keegan Bagernise
3rd place group - The Bobs - Jack White - Captain, Emilie Veillon, Kinslee Gautreaux, Bella Duthu, and Adelyn Angelle.



Today, the 10th to 12th graders from Houma Christian had the opportunity to explore various career paths during Career Day! Special thanks to the following speakers: Shannon Lewis, Amy Harper, Roland Landry, Laurie McCubbin, Lane Breaux, Gretchen Delcambre, Brian Martin, Michelle Patterson, Joey Dantin, Dexter Detiveaux, Fletcher Community College and Trever Bardarson. Thank you for spending the morning with us!











Last Friday, March 15th, students took part in the regional Social Studies Fair. A big congratulations to Noah Fondren for placing first in the anthropology division and advancing to the State Social Studies Fair in Lake Charles. Also, well done to Iris Hunter for achieving 3rd place in the Sociology category.



The following students participated in the Literary Rally at Vandebilt Catholic on Saturday, March 16th. Congratulations to Kimberly Pennington who received 1st place in 5th Grade English.


Today, students in 7th grade science are having a leaping good time dissecting frogs!









Mark your calendars for May 22nd from 11am-2:40pm - it's Fun Day! Get ready for a sun-soaked adventure filled with interactive inflatables, a dunk booth with sixth graders ready to be dunked, refreshing snowballs, and endless fun! It is mandatory that a parent/guardian of Pk-1st grade attend fun day. It is optional for 2nd - 6th grade parents/ guardians to attend.

In Mrs. Breaux's class, sixth graders became egg-cellent engineers, crafting a top-secret egg holder to save eggs from cracking under pressure!









March 21st is Crazy Sock Day in support of National Down Syndrome Day. Students in Pk-6th can wear crazy socks by donating $1, with all proceeds benefiting the Upside Downs Foundation.


Today in Biology II, students embarked on a heart-pumping adventure dissecting cow hearts!





On Saturday, February 24th, HCS students participated in the District Literary Rally at Nicholls State University. Congratulations to the following students who achieved placements to represent Houma Christian in the State Literary Rally at LSU.



Congratulations to 4-H President Rebecca Theriot on her 9th place finish in the National rifle division. Way to go, Rebecca!
