
Mrs. Krista's 9th grade English class watched The Giver last week. As a reward for completing the novel, students made apple nachos. Apples are very symbolic within the story, so it was a nice treat for the students as they watched the movie and looked for similarities and differences between the movie and the book.

In Mrs. Chantelle's sixth-grade Bible class, students participated in the creation of Graffiti Scripture Art, which will be taken on a mission trip to Albania. This engaging activity serves as an effective approach to teaching children how to memorize scripture.

Students in Mrs. Delgado’s Physical Science 9A class dissected diapers to examine sodium polyacrylate molecules and how they react with water. The super-absorbent polymers can hold over 500 times its weight in water!






The 3rd Annual Princess for a Knight Dance is just two days away! Join us on October 19 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Grand Bayou Noir for a magical evening for girls and their father figures. Tomorrow, by noon, is the last chance to purchase tickets at the Warrior Store. After that, tickets will be available at the door for $60 per couple and $15 for each additional princess. Check out our prayer lockers that the High School Student Council and Junior High SGA have sponsored. Students may slip a prayer request anytime for our club Chaplains to sit and pray for during the week. We are excited for these prayer lockers to allow students to freely write their prayer requests and to cast their cares in a positive light.

On behalf of the Louisiana High School Athletic Association and Houma Christian School, we are pleased to announce our All-Academic Boys' Football Honorees for 2024-2025. Logan Bardarson, Luke Breaux, and Cohen Danos are receiving this honor for being senior student-athletes who have attained the highest grade point averages from all classes in football. Their athletic and academic accomplishments reflect the values of the LHSAA and HCS- respect, ambition, compassion, and aptitude. HCS is very proud of these seniors, and they will be honored at our Athletic Awards Ceremony. Congratulations!


The High School Student Council and Junior High SGA put together "I Got Your Back" kits for those affected by Hurricane Helene in the Fairview area of North Carolina. We thank all of our students and staff for donating to this cause. Our school donation added to a significant blessing that much of our town and the people of Houma put together. All donations will be delivered and distributed to the North Carolina people this week!

The junior high football team will host the first round of playoffs this Thursday, October 17th, at 5:30 PM at Warrior Field. We are thrilled for our junior high team! We encourage everyone to come out and show your support!


Warrior Fans, it's time to support your Warriors this Thursday, October 17th! We will have a school pink-out day to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Elementary students may dress down for $1 by wearing pink shirts with jeans or uniform bottoms. High school students may dress down for $1 by wearing pink shirts with jeans or uniform bottoms and pink accessories. That evening, keep your pink on and support Junior High Football at Warrior Field at 5:30 pm for the first round of playoffs, or head over to the HCS gym to support your Lady Warriors Volleyball team as they take on Ellender at 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm.

The seventh-grade class created DNA models using candy and explored some genetic coding to prepare for our upcoming lessons on genetics.







HCS Boys Basketball is putting on a fall break hoops shooting clinic on Monday, October 14th from 9am-Noon in the HCS gym. This is open to the public.
