This week at HCS!

Today was all about honoring Dr. Seuss with Favorites Friday! Kiddos rocked their favorite character, book, or theme costumes and had a blast with surprise guest readers popping in to share stories all day long!

Literacy Night 2024 happened earlier this week. Students were invited into classrooms for reading and engaging activities. A big thank you to all the volunteers and parents that brought their child and made this event a success!

Fielder Price won Assistant Principal for a day from the recent Mother/Son Game Day. He thoroughly enjoyed guiding the elementary school through the day's activities. Congratulations, Fielder, on a job well done!

For next week only, lunches for the following week must be ordered by noon on Wednesday, March 6th. Thank you so much for your understanding.

Warriors, mark your calendars for an unforgettable Junior and Senior prom night! HCS is excited to announce "A Night on the Bayou" at Grand Bayou Noir on April 13th, from 7pm to 9pm.

Our monthly PTC meeting is scheduled for next Tuesday, March 5th. The agenda includes discussions on the Warrior Run, Fun Day, and Teacher Appreciation Week. If you're looking to get involved, this is a fantastic opportunity to start! We look forward to seeing you there!

Pk is diving into the world of sparkly smiles this week! Huge shoutout to Dr. Stephen Morgan for coming in to educate these tiny tooth warriors about having great dental hygiene skills.

This week, students from HCS participated in the Social Studies Fair at the school level. We are extremely proud of all the students; their dedication and hard work were evident. Congratulations to the students who achieved success at the Social Studies Fair this week! The 1st and 2nd place winners will progress to Regionals at Nicholls State University on March 15th.

Congratulations go out to the winners of the Silent Auction at the First Mother/Son Game Day event organized by our PTC. A huge thank you to our sponsors; your support made the event possible.

First Grade Warriors decided to take the classroom outdoors to really blow away their lesson on wind!
