Third-grade students are teaming up in groups to brainstorm and share their creative ideas about what makes a good citizen. They’re diving into discussions, collaborating, and putting their thoughts together to highlight the key traits that show how we can all contribute positively to our communities!
Join us for a live performance of "The Little Mermaid Jr." on Friday, March 28th, at 6 PM and Saturday, March 29th, at 1 PM. The event is open to the public. Tickets are priced at $7 per person and $5 for HCS students. You will not receive a physical ticket; instead, your name will be added to a list for check-in upon arrival.

This week at HCS!
What a fun day to be in 2nd grade! Two adorable five-day-old ducks came to visit, and the students were so thrilled! Mr. Peter Guidry generously shared his time with them, teaching them all about these little ducks and answering their curious questions. A huge thank you to Mr. Guidry for making our day extra special!

March 21st is Crazy Sock Day in support of National Down Syndrome Day. Students in Pk-6th can wear crazy socks by donating $1, with all proceeds benefiting the Upside Downs Foundation.

Mrs. Breaux's seventh graders have been studying animal classification in science. They had the opportunity to dissect worms to observe how these creatures have systems similar to those of humans.

Our Elementary Easter Program will be on Thursday, April 17th, at 9 AM at Living Word Church. Parents need to bring their child straight to LWC and will not attend HCS that day. After the program students are dismissed to leave with parents. Students in 6th grade should arrive at 8:15 AM. Students in 1st-5th grades should arrive by 8:30 AM. PreK & K should arrive at 8:45 AM. Doors to the sanctuary will open at 8:30 AM. Boys can wear dress pants and a pastel-colored shirt with no words or pictures. Girls can wear a spring dress and sandals (no spaghetti strap or low cut and appropriate uniform length) or dress pants and a pastel-colored shirt with no words. Girls and boys should not wear jeans or tennis shoes. Blessings
