The 5th graders have been having a blast learning about painted lady butterflies in science class, and it was finally time to release them! Everyone was super excited to see these gorgeous butterflies spread their wings and fly off into the wild.

All girls in current 3rd-11th grades are invited to come to our Colorguard clinics and to tryout for our elementary and varsity Colorguard teams! No experience necessary. We will be teaching basics and routines. Please see the fliers for more information. Help us pump up the Warrior spirit at games and pep rallies and have lots of fun!
Good luck to all of our high school students who are participating in the State Literary Rally at LSU today! A few pictured are Ashton Kay, Isabella Theriot, Lillian Bourg, and Calleigh Lane.
Congratulations to these students who were recognized as Outstanding 4-H Members - Melanie Gaiennie, Emeline LeCompte, and Brennan Witt. Jack White also received the Purple Award for his Photography and Portfolio.
The 9th-grade students visited The Suites at Sugar Mill Point today. They sang worship songs, greeted the residents, and handed out gifts they had created for the residents and staff.
Reminder to join us tomorrow, April 10th, from 2-10 PM at the MLK Raising Cane’s to support our Cheer team! A portion of the proceeds will go towards helping the HCS Cheer squad, so bring your friends, grab some delicious chicken, and show your spirit!

4-H members had the chance to participate in Achievement Day on Saturday. Many awards and honors were presented to our members and club during the Awards Ceremony. Our club earned the 5-Star Award for outstanding participation in events and activities. Members present at the awards ceremony included Maddox Bilbo (Outstanding 4-H Member), Marshall Bilbo (Outstanding 4-H Member), Rebecca Theriot (Outstanding 4-H Member), and Jack White (Outstanding 4-H Member and Golden Clover Award). Mrs. Stacom, Mrs. Dusenbery, and Mrs. Dawn were also acknowledged for their efforts as club sponsors.
